Obituary Ruby Jane Ingle, 88, of Washington, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2015 at 2:04A.M. at UnityPoint Health - Methodist in Peoria. Ruby was born on August 15, 1926 in Barnhill to Robert and Gladys Black McDowell. She married Bernard Ingle on June 14, 1964 in Peoria. Ruby is survived by one son, Stewart Alameda of St. Peters, MO; one sister, Barbara (Robert) Mishler of Pekin; one brother, Ralph (Betty) McDowell of Crestview, FL; two grandchildren, Alex (Annie) Alameda of Chesterfield, Mo. and Andrea (Jonathan) Ambrose of St Charles, MO; one great-grandchild, Addisun Alameda; and nieces and nephews, Angela Mantovani, Tony Mantovani, and Keith McDowell. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Robert McDowell. Ruby was a 1944 graduate of Fairfield High School. She worked as an assistant buyer at Block & Kuhl in downtown Peoria for several years. She then worked as a homemaker. She also served as a longtime election judge in Washington. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital- Midwest Affiliate. There will be a funeral service for Ruby on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at 1:00P.M. at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. There will be a visitation an hour prior to the service, from 12:00PM-1:00PM at the funeral home. A private inurnment will be held at a later date at Glendale Cemetery in Washington.
