Obituary PEORIA-Roy C. Foley, Jr., 66, of Peoria, IL, died at 11:41 pm Monday, November 1, 2010 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Born on March 2, 1944 in Lincoln, IL to Roy Chapman and Dova (Hafley) Foley, Sr., he married Carol Clymer on December 31, 1969. He later married Happy Wang on September 12, 2001 in China. She survives. Also surviving are 3 daughters, Tian Tian Foley at home, Tamela (Nathan) Shults of Monument, CO, Angela (Steve) Ludwig of Washington, IL; 9 brothers and sisters, Lois (Ken) Prochnow of Madision, WI, Bob (Jill) Foley, Jean (Don) Heck, Mae Dickerson and Wanda (Larry) Lasswell, all of McLean, IL, Carolyn (Jim) Hardesty and Sue (Richard) Miner, both of Washington, IL, Sherron (Gene) Jones of Metamora, IL, Richard Foley of Minier, IL; brother-in-law, Dean Erickson of KS; 5 grandchildren, Amanda, Stephanie and Kaitlyn Ludwig, all of Washington, IL, Will and Lexi Shults of Monument, CO; mother-in-law, Dai Juan of China, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, Louise Erickson and Betsy Crabtree, brother-in-law, Jim Dickerson, and father-in-law, Shao Jie. Roy grew up on a farm in McLean, IL. and attended Illinois State University and Bradley University. He started at Caterpillar Tractor Co. in 1969 in the apprenticeship program and retired after 38 years as the President of P.T. Natra Raya Manufacturing Plant in Jakarta, Indonesia. Roy loved to camp, hunt, fish, and enjoyed spending time with his extended family. He was known for his great sense of humor and continuous playing of practical jokes! Funeral services will be at 10:30 am Friday, November 5, 2010 at Cross Pointe Church of God in Bloomington, IL. Rev. Dr. Kevin Summers and Rev. John Chaney will officiate. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Thursday, November 4, 2010 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington, IL. Burial will be at Funks Grove Cemetery in Funks Grove, IL.
