Obituary Rosa A. Clark, 88, of East Peoria, passed away and went home to be with her Lord at 10:53pm Monday, June 15, 2015 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. Rosa was born September 26, 1926 in Germantown Hills, IL to John and Katie Zilch Rentsch. She married Richard W. Clark on March 4, 1945 in Peoria. He preceded her in death on April 29, 1996. Surviving are their children, Diana (David) Cochenour, Danny (Connie) Clark, both of East Peoria, Richard Clark of Peoria, Debbie Whittenburg of Bartonville, Donna (Bryan) McIntosh of Washington, Darlene (Bobby Bishop) Clark of Bartonville, Denise (Greg Engle) Clark of East Peoria, and Donald Clark of Peoria; grandchildren, Candace, Sherry, Annette, Deama, Bryan, Brooke, Richard and Destiny; 3 great-grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; and 3 step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and 10 siblings. Rosa worked at OSF St. Francis Medical Center for many years, retiring in 1995. She attended Riverside Church. Rosa was an avid Cubs fan and enjoyed watching boxing with her husband. In addition to tending her flower gardens, she liked to go for walks. She loved the Bible, and enjoyed reading and studying it. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, she loved helping raise them and watching WWE wrestling with them. Her granddaughter, Candace and daughter, Denise cared for her during her recent illness, and the family would like to thank the staff at the hospice home for continuing that loving care. A funeral service for Rosa will be held at 1:30pm, Saturday June 20, 2015 at Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory in East Peoria. Visitation will be from 6:00pm-8:00pm, Friday June 19, 2015 at the funeral home. Interment will be at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria. Rev. John King will officiate.
