Obituary
Roger Dale Crotts, 61, of Washington, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2015 at 12:25AM at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.
Dale was born October 29, 1953 in Peoria to Edward Lloyd and Vera Vivian Johnston Crotts. He married Laura Brisbin on November 21, 1987 in Peoria. She survives.
Also surviving is his daughter, Olivia Crotts; his siblings, Keith Crotts, Gary Crotts, and Julie (Craig) Rogers; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Dale graduated from Washington Community High School, class of 1972 and then attended Illinois Central College. He went on to earn his Bachelor's Degree in computer science at University of Illinois Springfield. He worked as a systems analyst at State Farm in Bloomington for 15 years.
Dale was a former deacon and member of Faith Church in Washington. He was an avid Chicago Bears and St. Louis Cardinals fan. Dale was a man of strong faith and was a friend to everyone he met. Above all else, he was a loving and devoted husband to his wife, Laura and cherished his "sweet baby girl", Olivia. He will be missed by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Olivia R. Crotts Education Fund c/o CEFCU.
A Celebration of Life service for Dale will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at 7:00PM at Faith Church in Washington. Pastor Rick Brisbin will officiate. There will be a visitation prior to the service, from 5:00PM-7:00PM at the church. Interment will be private at Glendale Cemetery in Washington.
