Obituary EAST PEORIA - Roberta Joy "Bobbi" "Bert" Ruggeri Proctor, 56, of East Peoria and formerly of Norris, IL, died at 3:55 pm Thursday, August 9, 2012 at her home. Born on June 26, 1956 in Chicago, IL to Raymond Jay and Ramona Mae Kamplin Ruggeri, she married Perry Kurtz Johnston in 1989. She later married Roger Clayton Proctor on July 27, 2007 in Peoria, IL. He survives. Also surviving are her parents of Norris, IL, 2 sons, Perry Michael Johnston and Adam Robert Johnston, both of East Peoria, IL, 2 stepsons, Andrew Proctor of Springfield, IL and Adam (Nicole) Proctor of Clayton, NC, 1 step-granddaughter, Abigail Rose Proctor, 1 brother, Raymond Jay Ruggeri Jr. of Norris, IL and 1 sister, Roxane (John) Semick of Peoria, IL. She worked as a Benefits Administrator at the Children's Home Association of Illinois for nearly 20 years, last working within the past few weeks. She enjoyed being a member of the Fondulac Library Knitting Group and also enjoyed fishing, walking, and biking. She and Roger also participated as volunteers for many area associations and groups. She was pleased to have led a team in her honor at the East Peoria Relay for Life called Bert's Bee's, where she was called the Queen Bee. A celebration of life service for Roberta will be from 1-3 pm Saturday, September 8, 2012 at the Children's Home Scott's Prairie Campus, 2009 North Taylor Road, Hanna City, IL 61536. Cremation rites will be accorded. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in East Peoria is assisting the family with arrangements.
