Obituary East Peoria- Robert L. Silber, 80 of East Peoria passed away at 1:54 AM on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at OSF St. Francis Emergency Care. Robert was born on October 11, 1931 to the late Henry and Viola Steinseipher Silber in Peoria, IL. He married Donna McAvoy on October 9, 1954 in Peoria. She survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Roberta (Michael) Gifford of East Peoria, IL; Mary Ann Silber of Charleston, SC; two grandchildren, Brandon Bishop and Christy Bishop; a great-granddaughter, Natalie Ann Bishop; a son-in-law, Willie Bishop of East Peoria. Robert was employed at TP&W Railroad as a Freight Accountant. He was a member of River Valley Sportsman's Club and Peoria Skeet and Trap Club. Funeral Mass will take place at 10:00 AM Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Peoria. Fr. Robert Weakley, O.F.M ,will officiate with interment to follow in Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria. Visitation will take place on Tuesday from 5-7 PM at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in East Peoria. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
