Obituary WASHINGTON - Robert L. Schneider, 69, of Washington, died at 5:30 am Sunday, January 28, 2007 at Manor Care in Peoria. Bob was born on September 12, 1937 in Peoria, to Robert W. and Jane L. Godi Schneider. He married Judith McElyea and later married Louise Heinzmann on April 13, 1984 in Bloomington. She survives. lso surviving are 1 son David (Jennifer) Schneider of Peoria Heights, 1 daughter, Terry (Rodney) Schmider of Peoria, 1 sister, Sharon Schneider of Peoria, 3 stepsons, Robert (Rosie) Heinzmann and Greg (Angie) Heinzmann, both of Washington, and Steve Heinzmann of Moline, 2 stepdaughters, Pat (Rich) Brown and Teresa (Kevin) Schone, both of Washington, and 9 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 infant daughter. He was a proud veteran, serving four years in the US Navy. He was a Skilled Technician at Illinois Central College for 25 years, retiring in 1997. He had served as President of the Carpenters Union Local #2189. A Funeral Service will be at 10:30 am Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at Deiters Funeral Home in Washington. The Rev. Tom Goodell will officiate. There will be no visitation. Cremation rites will be accorded after the service. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
