Obituary Robert D. "Bob" Schertz, 91, of Washington, passed away at 12:30pm Monday, February 20, 2017 at Washington Christian Village in Washington. Bob was born December 20, 1925 in Washington to Emmanuel and Laura Wistehuff Schertz. He married Dorothy M. Kamp on December 31, 1946 in Washington. Surviving is his wife, Dorothy of Washington; children, Douglas (Pat) Schertz of Seymour and Dennis (Sheila) Schertz of Washington; five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and his sister, Helen Kennel of Eureka. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Arlene; and his daughter Deborah Wilmarth. Bob farmed in the Washington area for many years. He also drove a gas truck for FS and worked for Tazewell Buildings. Bob was a member of Calvary Evangelical Mennonite Church in Washington. He loved to draw and share his art with others, but above all else he loved his family. A memorial service will be held at 11am Friday, February 24, 2017 at Calvary Evangelical Mennonite Church in Washington. The family will receive friends beginning at 10am, until the time of the service. Private inurnment will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Deer Creek. Pastor Clayton Tinervin will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Calvary Evangelical Mennonite Church. Cemetery Details Mt.
