Obituary EAST PEORIA- Robert E. Miller, 83, of East Peoria, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at 5:00 A.M. at his residence. Robert was born February 29, 1932 in Kirksville, MO to Verna Vivian and Mary Viola Williams Miller. He married Pearl Caldwell on October 19, 1993 in Las Vegas, NV. She preceded him in death on July 19, 2014. He was also preceded in death by his parents and one brother, John Miller in 2001. Surviving are his children, Randy (Penny Creviston) Miller of East Peoria, Tammy Smith of East Peoria, Terry (Stephanie) Cochran of Peoria, and Don Caldwell of Washington; one brother, Hugh Miller of Peoria; 9 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. Robert was a jack of all trades. A few of his jobs over the years include carpet cleaning and working in the parts department with Roma Manufacturing. He also helped to construct the Cedar Street Bridge in Peoria, something he was quite proud of. He loved to spend his free time fishing, camping, hunting with his son, Randy, and taking family vacations. He enjoyed collecting baseball hats and listening to country music. Memorial donations may be made to Robert's family to assist with medical expenses. A memorial service for Robert will be held Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 10:00AM at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. There will be a visitation an hour prior to the service, from 9:00A.M-10:00A.M. Inurnment will be at Fondulac Cemetery.
