Robert "Bob" Marshall, 71, of Deer Creek, passed away at 7:10am Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at UnityPoint Health Methodist in Peoria. He was born on March 12, 1949 in Peoria, IL to the late Robert and Colleen Droll Marshall. He married Linda J. Taffer in Pekin on March 18, 1978. She survives. Also surviving are five children, Tonya Parrish, Lisa (Ronald) Rollings, Erica (Stuart) Chambers, Justin (Melinda) Marshall, John (Nicole) Marshall; eight grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and one brother, Richard (Susan) Marshall. Bob was a United States Navy Veteran. He worked at Tazewell County Animal Control for 30 years, retiring in 2014 as Director of Animal Control. He was an avid bird watcher and enjoyed feeding birds. Cremation has been accorded. Private services will be held at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the National Audubon Society.
