Obituary Robert L. "Bob" Heinzmann, 58, of Washington, passed away surrounded by his family at 8:40 pm Sunday, Sept. 11, 2016 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. He was born Nov. 25, 1957 in Peoria, IL to Robert C. and Louise A. Ellwanger Heinzmann. He married Rosie M. Marcum on Aug. 8, 1998 in Groveland, IL. She survives. Also surviving are his mother, Louise Schneider of Washington; daughter, Angie of Washington; 4 siblings, Pat (and Rich) Brown of Washington, Steve (and Julie) Heinzmann of Moline, Greg (and Angie) Heinzmann of Washington; Teresa (and Kevin) Schone of Washington; 1 granddaughter; 2 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, and maternal and paternal grandparents. Bob was a truck driver for many years last working for G & D Transportation in Morton. He loved to fish, NASCAR, and ride his Harley. Bob was always willing to help and never knew a stranger. He will be dearly missed. Bob was of the Catholic faith. The family would like to thank all of those at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home for their caring and compassionate care of Bob. Memorials may be made to the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home. His funeral service will be at 11 am Saturday, Sept. 17, 2016 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington with Pastor James Frye officiating. Visitation will be 2 hours before services at the funeral home from 9 to 11 am Saturday. Burial will be at Glendale Cemetery in Washington.
