Obituary Washington - Robert N. "Bob" Forgason, 80, of Washington, died at 2:50 PM on Monday December 19, 2011 at Washington Christian Village surrounded by his family. He was born June 26, 1931 in Rector, Arkansas to Harry B. and Callie Gibbs Forgason. He married Linda Claudin in 1960 in Peoria. She preceded him in death on April 25, 1976. He later married Kathy L. White on September 1, 1979 in Peoria and she survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Cheryl Forgason of Mapleton and Danette (Randy) McCall of Washington; one son, James (Kim) Campbell of Washington; five grandchildren, Josh Sazzman, Chelsie Sazzman, Miranda McCall, Tristin Campbell and Zach McCall, and one brother Tom (Jean) Forgason of Morton. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. Bob served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He then worked for Keystone Steel and Wire in the fabric department for 33 years, retiring in 1988. His family was very important to him and he loved the times they spent together. He enjoyed fishing, camping and playing cards. He was a lifetime member of the VFW in Washington. Bob's family would like to thank all the friends and staff at Washington Christian Village for the care and support they have received over the last three years. A funeral service will be held at 10 AM Friday December 23, 2011 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. Rev. Jim Gorby will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery in Washington.
