Robert R. "Bob" Fisher, 80, of Canton, passed away at The Loft of Eureka on Thursday, August 20, 2026. Bob was born on January 10, 1946, in Carrollton, IL; the son of the late John and Peggy (Howard) Fisher. Peggy would later marry Eldon Baker who raised Bob from a young age and also preceded him in death. Bob married Ramona Pruiett in Brighton, IL, on September 21, 1963.

Bob was very skilled with his hands, he used these skill as a mechanic for Velde Ford for many years; and later worked construction with Peoria Siding & Windows as well as Foster Concrete. Outside of work he was an avid outdoorsman that enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, and mushroom hunting. Bob enjoyed racing and used his skills as a mechanic building many stock cars for drivers at the Peoria Speedway.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Ramona Fisher of Morton, his children: Jonna (Eric) Hemminger of Morton, Bobbi Fisher of Morton, Toni (Jeff) Weller of Morton, Jeniffer (Chris) Woodward of East Peoria, Steven (Samantha) Fisher of Metamora, a son-in-law Jimmy Dotson of Missouri, 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, a sister Vickie Baker of Wentzville, MO, brothers Mike Baker of Washington, Denny (Ginnie) Baker of Brighton, IL, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends.

In addition to his parents and stepfather Bob was preceded in death by a daughter Dawn Dotson, a grandson Cody Brian, his brother Tom Fisher, and a sister-in-law Linda Baker.

To honor Bob's wishes cremation rites will be accorded by Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. Please join the family in celebrating Bob's life on Saturday, September 26, from 11 am- 1 pm at Peoria Country Club 4700 N. Grandview Dr. Peoria Heights, IL, 61616.
