Robert "Bob" Everett, 75, of Pekin, passed away at 7:43 am on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at Carle Health Pekin Hospital.

Bob was born on February 13, 1948 in Peoria, IL to the late Hazel Evelyn (Utsinger) and Robert Daniel Everett. He married Barbara J. Casey on January 23, 1987 in Fort Myers, FL. She survives.

Also surviving is his daughter, Chelsea (AJ Ponce) Everett; his grandsons, Archer and Holden Ponce; many of his dear cousins; his friends, Steve and Kim Martin, Jean Lebak, John and Jan Geisendorfer, Mike and Lori Carroll, Kymm Croxton, Barb Clem; and his four legged companion, Sammie.

Bob was known to spend his time keeping his hands busy working on cars. Bob also loved a good conversation and he never knew a stranger. He loved to travel to his favorite vacation spot, Florida. Bob retired from Caterpillar after 31 years and enjoyed the many friendships that he made throughout his career. He was also a dog and cat lover and cared for many over the years, including the late Rupert. Bob was an incredible husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be dearly missed by many.

Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society or a fund for Bob's grandsons Archer and Holden Ponce (1777261) through CEFCU.

Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory will be assisting the family with arrangements. Cremation has been accorded.
