Obituary WASHINGTONa"Robert L. "Bob" Christian, 81, of Washington died at 5:25 PM on Sunday, May 9, 2010 at Proctor Hospital in Peoria. He was born on December 11, 1928 in McDonough Co, IL to Russell and Ida Christian. He married Nola Beck on September 21, 1947 in Macomb, IL; she survives. Also surviving is his mother, Ida B. Webster; one daughter, Linda Renfroe of East Peoria; grandson Rob (Angie) Renfroe of Hanna City; and 3 great granddaughters, Kaylee, Courtney and Kendra Renfroe, all of Hanna City. Bob was preceded in death by his father, one son, Roger and one brother, Tom. He had worked as a pipefitter in East Peoria. Bob was a member of the Schiller Masonic Lodge in Peoria Heights, Shriners and member of the Scottish Rite. He was also a member of the Wilmore Sportsmen's Club. There will be graveside services at 11 AM on Thursday, May 13 at Hillcrest Memory Gardens in Morton. The Rev. Richard Fitzwater will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM on Wednesday, May 12 at Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington, concluding with Masonic Rites at 6:45 PM.
