Rita "Bea" Eppelheimer, 93, of Washington, passed away peacefully at 1:35 am Saturday, July 9, 2022 at the Apostolic Christian Home in Eureka.

She was born September 26, 1928 in Watseka, IL to the late Burnie and Elnora Mowery Zumwalt.  She married John R. Eppelheimer in Watseka on February 26, 1949.  He preceded her in death on February 27, 2010.  She was also preceded in death by one brother and three sisters.

Surviving are two daughters, Connie Symmonds of Oklahoma City, OK, Colleen (Barry) Hockensmith of Bloomington; and several nieces and nephews.

Bea was a member of Crossroads United Methodist Church in Washington.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 15, 2022 at 4pm at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home from 3 to 4pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to her church, or St. Jude Midwest Affiliate.
