Obituary
Richard "Rick" Tannhauser, 65, of Creve Coeur, passed away at 11:20pm Sunday, October 29, 2017 at his home.
Rick was born November 21, 1951 in Peoria to Raymond and DeLois Walker Tannhauser. He married Sharon Underwood Kinsman on May 5, 2012 in Peoria.
Surviving is his wife, Sharon of Creve Coeur; son, Rick Tannhauser; step-daughter, Michelle Underwood; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, and one brother.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
Rick worked for Keystone Steel and Wire for 30 years and later retired from St. Francis. He served two terms of enlistment in the Army before his final honorable discharge in 1986. Rick enjoyed fishing, target shooting, and absolutely loved his dogs. He was a jokester who liked to tease those close to him. He had a heart for giving, loved spending time with his grandkids, and looked forward to time spent with his little buddy, JT.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Impact, A Church of the Nazarene.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm Thursday, November 9, 2017 at Impact, A Church of the Nazarene, 1203 NE Perry Ave. in Peoria. Rev. Dr. John B. Spohn will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Inurnment with military honors will be at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield. Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington is serving the family.
