Obituary WASHINGTON-Richard Steven Reliford, 60, of Washington, IL, died at 5:04 am Monday, March 28, 2011 at Proctor Hospital in Peoria, IL. Born on November 16, 1950 in Peoria to William D. and Margaret L. Swayze Reliford, he married Anna M. Littrell on August 9, 1969 in Cottage Hills, IL; she survives. Also surviving are 3 sons, Richard Scott (Christina) Reliford, Kelly Dean (Tina) Reliford, and Micky J. (Deanna) McCullough, all of Washington; 1 sister, Peggy Reliford of Wood River, IL; 6 grandchildren, Justin, Zachary, Ravyn, Chyenne, Trevor, and Brody; and his dog, Zoey. Richard was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother, Bill. He was a Security Police Officer in the US Air Force. Richard was a Union Heat and Frost Insulator out of Local #17 in Chicago for 25 years and a life-long member of the VFW. Richard loved his family dearly and was a father figure to many. He also enjoyed fishing and nature. A memorial service will be at 7 pm Thursday, March 31, 2011 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. Rev. Jim Gorby will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Cremation rites have been accorded.
