Obituary
WASHINGTON - Richard D. Ingold, 75, of Washington died at 11:47 PM Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.
Born on March 11, 1939 in Washburn to Guy and Lois Bean Ingold, he married Janice Meyer on April 5, 1963 in Washburn; she survives.
Also surviving are 2 daughters, Debra (Jeffrey) Jurgens of Peoria and Julie (Kenneth) Watt of Bourbonnais; 1 brother, Michael (Brenda) Ingold of Washington; 2 sisters, Betty (Walter) Ulrich of Sun Lakes, AZ and Kathy (Eugene) Schneider of Washington; brother-in-law, Fred (Connie) Meyer of Eureka; 4 step-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother, Paul; and 1 sister, Karen Haig Hallam.
Richard graduated from Washburn High School in 1958. He served in the US Navy which allowed him to see the world. Richard was a business man, owning several of his own businesses. He was a volunteer firefighter, councilman, and belonged to several civic organizations in Washington. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Shriners and enjoyed camping and riding his Harley.
A memorial service will be at 11 AM Thursday, December 4, 2014 at Grace Bible Church in Washington. Pastor Adam Kipp will officiate. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to service at the church. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is assisting the family with arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the family, Grace Bible Church, or OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home.
