Richard "Todd" Brekke, 68, of Washington, passed away Monday, April 20, 2026 at his home.

He was born November 5, 1957 in Peoria, IL to the late Richard Lee and JoAnne (Fox) Brekke.  He married Janice M. Brekke in January of 1993.  She preceded him in death.

Surviving are four children, Bonnie Marie (Jacob) Landgrebe, Richard "Wade" Brekke, James Colton (Keisha) Brekke, Jolyn Dawn Brekke; two grandchildren, Ava and Lanie McGlothlin; three step-grandchildren, Jacey, Eleah, and Landon Landgrebe; great-granddaughter, Ily McGlothlin; three siblings, Beth (Scott) Gundy, Chris (Louise) Brekke, David Brekke; and several nieces and nephews.

Todd worked in auto sales for many years.  He was a family man and loved football, basketball and NASCAR. He will be dearly missed.

Per his wishes cremation has been accorded.  There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.  Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is assisting the family with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
