Obituary Richard J. Lister Sr., 70, of Peoria, IL, died at 8:18 am Monday, June 3, 2013 at his home. Born on January 1, 1943 in Pekin, IL to Walter and Ethel Pedigo Lister, he married Jacqueline Sue Wyss on April 8, 1966 in Peoria, IL. She survives. Also surviving are 2 sons, Richard J. (Kim) Lister Jr. of East Peoria, IL and Kenneth T. Lister of Plainfield, IL, 5 grandchildren, 1 sister, Shirley Buss of Texas, and 2 brothers, Carl (Joy) Lister of Bartonville, IL, and Virgil "Butch" (Joyce) Lister of Pekin, IL. He was preceded in death by 3 infant siblings, and 3 sisters, Deatta Flowers, Alice Eitenmiller, and Lois Cook. He was a US Air Force Veteran. Rich worked as a telephone technician for Gallatin River Telephone Company in Pekin for 35 years, retiring in 2003. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and liked to travel, camp, fish, and spend time with his grandchildren. Services will be private. Cremation rites will be accorded.
