Obituary Ray E. Polk, 75, of East Peoria, passed away at 9:27am, Sunday, July 28, 2013 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria. Ray was born November 12, 1937 in Ullin, IL to Monroe G. and Bertha Horner Polk. He later married Darlene Snell; she preceded him in death in 2008. Surviving are a step-son, Don (Gayle) Hidden, East Peoria; daughters, Raeanne Polk and Joy Polk, of Florida; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Ray worked at the Williams and Williams plant in Pekin for 34 years, until his retirement. He spent part of that retirement with his wife in Florida. He loved his motorcycles and dogs. Ray was very giving and loved spending time with his grandchildren. Funeral services for Ray will be at 1:00pm, Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory, Washington. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Glendale Cemetery, Washington.
