Ray F. Brinker, 82, of Washington, passed away at 9:20am Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Washington Senior Living.

He was born December 4, 1939 in Chicago to Frederick and May Vlach Brinker.  He married Lynne Faubel in Washington on September 2, 1962.  She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Brett (Kathy) Brinker, Brian (Lynn) Brinker; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Jennifer Lynne Bennett; and his brother, Russ.

Ray received his master's degree and worked as a mathematics teacher for 27 years, retiring in 2013.  He was of the Methodist faith.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and will be dearly missed.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

Cremation has been accorded.  A memorial service will be held at Noon on Friday, May 20, 2022 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington.  Visitation will be from 10am to Noon on Friday, prior to the service at the funeral home.  Inurnment will be at Glendale Cemetery in Washington.
