Obituary WASHINGTON-Randall Kurt Tackman, 62, of Washington, IL, died at 8:05 am Monday, October 31, 2011 at his home. Born on March 30, 1949 in Denver, CO to Merton and Mardell Kreisher Tackman, he married Bridget C. Manning on January 21, 1978 in Peoria, IL. She survives. Also surviving are 2 children, Melissa Tackman (Rod Smithee) of Washington, IL and Jonathon Tackman of Oakdale, LA; 3 brothers, Ben (Norma) Wagens, David (Judy) Ganion, and Paul (Jeanne) Talley; 3 sisters, Jonni McDaniel, Kelly (Albert) Harper, and Sherry (Ron) Govero; 2 granddaughters, Kelsey and Keria Smithee and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Randy was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He retired from Caterpillar Tractor Co. as a systems analyst from 1986-2006. Randy was a member of Midwest Abled and Disabled Bowling League for many years. He was also an avid sports fan and especially liked the New York Yankees. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington. Cremation rites will be accorded after the visitation.
