Obituary Randy J. Southey, 53, of Creve Coeur died at 7:35 PM on Monday, October 2, 2006, at his residence. Born on December 21, 1952 in Sterling, Illinois to Bill and Betty Jackley Southey, he married Sheryl Ann Ard on April 13, 2001 in Creve Coeur. She survives. Also surviving is 1 son, John Paul Southey of Kenosha, WI; 1 step-son, Sean (Lori) Gulley of Lacon, IL; 2 step-daughters, Shannon (Shane) Smith of Manito, IL and Rhonda (Bob) Thomas of Kewanee; 1 brother, Paul (Manya) Southey of Washburn, IL; 2 sisters, Sally Link of Peoria and Diana (Jim) Thompson of East Peoria; 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; 3 nephews and 1 niece. He was preceded in death by his parents. He was a US Navy Veteran and proud member of the Patriot's Club and VFW Post #4385 in Creve Coeur. He was also a member of the APA Pool League. He worked for KCM Truck & Equipment Repair in Morton for the past 5 years, and had worked for Jim Hawk Trailers in East Peoria as a diesel mechanic. A visitation will be held Saturday, October 7, 2006 from 2-4 PM at Deiters Funeral Home at 444 E. Washington Street in East Peoria, followed by a fellowship dinner at the VFW Hall in Creve Coeur at 4 PM where Pastor Bob Thomas will have prayers.
