Obituary

Randall "Randy" Pruitt, 59, of Washington, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, February 10, 2025.

He was born February 7, 1966 in Carthage, Missouri to Birl Pruitt and Janet (Garrison) Sheridan. He married Amy (Jones) on June 6, 1992 in East Peoria.  She survives.

Also surviving are his mother, Janet Sheridan; son, Andrew Pruitt; daughter, Mia Pruitt; and his half brother, Brian Talley.  He was preceded in death by his father, Birl.

Randy received his masters' degree and worked at Caterpillar Inc. as an engineer for 34 years before retiring on July 1, 2024.

He was a black belt in Taekwondo, enjoyed playing the guitar, soccer, fishing, photography, painting, and listening to Blues music.  His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends.  He will be dearly missed.

Cremation has been accorded.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Crossroads Global Methodist Church in Washington on Saturday, March 8th at Noon.  Family will receive friends at the church on Saturday prior to the service from 10am until service time.  Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is assisting the family with arrangements.
