Obituary

Ralph Noe Sr. passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at the Apostolic Christian Home in Eureka, IL.  He was born at home in Worth Township, Woodford County, IL at his parent's farm on November 11, 1930, the son of George Noe and Catherine (Kneip) Noe.  In August of 1958, Ralph married Norma Eaton.  She passed away in July of 2006.  He then married Carol Clouser in August of 2010.

Ralph was one of eleven children of George and Catherine, and he attended a one room schoolhouse in Woodford County.  He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955 and then returned to the family "Centennial" farm.  Together, he and Norma farmed and raised four wonderful children.  He also worked at Caterpillar Tractor Company for thirty-four years before retiring in 1993. He also sold Spring Bay Cantaloupe for the Noe Farm Stand at the Metro Farmers Market for many years.

Ralph is survived by his wife, Carol Noe of Springfield, IL, his children, Ralph Noe, Jr. (wife Janet) of East Peoria, Judy (husband Mike) Martin of East Peoria, Debbie (husband Brian) Bastin of Bartonville, Roger (wife Stacy) Noe of Mackinaw, IL, two stepdaughters, Molly Shaw of Springfield, IL and Maggie (husband Mike) Osborne of Buffalo Grove, IL and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Also surviving is one brother, Tony Noe, of Marquette Heights.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Elmer, Edwin, George, Rudy, Leo (who died from battle injuries during World War II and is buried in France), Melvin, Raymond and his sisters Josephine Stalzer and Luella Scheirer.

Per Ralph's wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and no visitation or services will be held.   A private inurnment will be held on a later date, at St. Mary of Lourdes Church Cemetery, with military rites accorded by the United States Army. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is assisting the family with arrangements.
