Obituary Rachel Louise Bachman, 89, of East Peoria, IL, died at 11 am Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at Apostolic Christian Home in Roanoke, IL. Born on July 12, 1924 in Cass County, IL to John and Zonie Moore DeGroot, Jr., she married James W. Miller II on July 29, 1945 in Cass County, IL. He preceded her in death on February 9, 1972. She then married Leonard "Blackie" Bachman on August 31, 1973 at the Sunnyland Christian Church. He survives. Also surviving are 3 children, James (Sandy) Miller of Spring Bay, IL, Joyce (Larry) Gilles of Hilton Head Island, SC, and Donna (Tim) Wilcoxen of Benson, IL, 6 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 8 brothers and sisters and 2 additional infant siblings. Louise was a member of Sunnyland Christian Church in Washington, enjoyed bowling, and was a member of the Hillcrest Ladies Golf League in Washington for many years where she won various tournaments. She also enjoyed spending time with Blackie on their deck, watching the squirrels and hummingbirds. Her grandchildren where her life and she was dearly loved by all her family. Services for Louise will be at 10 am Friday, April 18, 2014 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. Pastor Evan Williams will officiate. Visitation will be from 4-7 pm Thursday, April 17, 2014 at the funeral home with additional visitation from 9-10 am on Friday. Burial will be in Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
