Obituary GERMANTOWN HILLSa"Phyllis E. Mehrhoff, 81, of Onalaska, WI, formerly of Germantown Hills, died at 12:35 PM on Sunday, October 10, 2010 at Middleton Village Nursing Home and Rehab Center in Middleton, WI. Born on August 27, 1929 in Peoria, IL to Raymond and Mildred Nieukirk Sommer, she married Lloyd E. "Barney" Mehrhoff on October 27, 1946 in St. Louis, MO. He preceded her in death on March 4, 1979. Surviving are her daughter, Kathy (Clifton "Bud") Burton of Metamora, IL; her son, William R. Mehrhoff of Onalaska, WI; 2 brothers, Louis (Bernice) Sommer and Harold (Eldonna) Sommer, both of East Peoria; 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Phyllis was a graduate of East Peoria High School, and worked with Ideal Troy in Peoria for many years and later as a receiving clerk at K-Mart in Washington. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, October 15, 2010 at Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington with the Rev. Mary Arnold officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Thursday, October 14 at the funeral home in Washington. Burial will be at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
