Obituary EAST PEORIAa"Phyllis M. "Phid" (Livengood) Hoffman, 83, of East Peoria, died at 5:10 PM on Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at Fondulac Woods Rehabilitation Center in East Peoria. Born on June 22, 1925 in Delavan, IL to Don E. and Edna L. Day Livengood she married her beloved Howard C. Hoffman on June 15, 1946 in East Peoria. Phyllis was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother to her 4 daughters, Janice (Jack) Tucker of East Peoria, MaryEdna Hoffman of Morton, Missy (John) Walden of East Peoria, and Mindy (Mark) Hunt of Peoria; 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Also surviving are her sister, Elizabeth Behrends of Delavan and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard, 1 brother, Bill Livengood, and 2 sisters, Lois Joan Livengood and Doris Marilyn Howe. Phyllis worked as an office clerk for Caterpillar Inc. for 15 years, retiring in 1983. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in East Peoria, where a memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, Sept. 12. The Rev. Kurt Mews will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Cremation rites have been accorded. Inurnment will be at Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria.
