Phillip M. Wood, 72, of Washington, IL and formerly of East Peoria, IL died at 5:48 am Monday, December 20, 2021 in Washington. He was born on January 23, 1949 in West Plains, MO to Junior and Nancy Lovins Wood. His mother preceded him in death. Surviving is his father, Junior Wood of Washington, IL, 3 brothers, Bruce Wood, Mark Wood and John (Lois) Wood, all of Washington, IL, and 2 sisters, Joyce (Donald) Wood Harter of Columbia, MO and Lovina Farden of Peoria, IL, 2 daughters Lauren Wood and Allison Wood, both of Peoria, IL and 1 granddaughter, Amyriah Armstrong. Phillip was a US Army Veteran serving in Vietnam and Cambodia. He worked as a Material Handler at Caterpillar Tractor Co. and was a member of the UAW Local #974. A graveside service will be at 1 pm Thursday, December 23, 2021 at Glendale Cemetery in Washington, where military rites will be accorded.
