Obituary East Peoria - Perry L. Miller, 79, of East Peoria died on Wednesday February 6, 2013 at 9:05 PM at Rosewood Care Center. He was born in Rosie, Arkansas on January 13, 1934 to Elmer and Eula Kramer Miller. He married Margaret Pauley on June 18, 1955 in Peoria at University Baptist Church. She preceded him in death on April 4, 2009. He is survived by three sons; Brian (Kathy) Miller of Morton, Kevin (Pam) Miller of East Peoria, Scott (Stephanie) Miller of Morton, one daughter; Robyn (Larry) Harr of East Peoria, ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and one brother, Stan (Billie) Miller of Arkansas. He was preceded in death by one brother, W.T. Miller. Perry worked at Caterpillar for nearly 40 years before retiring as a maintenance welder in 1999. He was a member of Woodland Baptist Church in Peoria for many years. He enjoyed fishing, camping, cookouts, socializing with family and friends, and spending time with the grandchildren. Perry's favorite vacation spot was Lake of the Ozarks where he enjoyed fishing and boating. He was well-known for his generosity. There will be a funeral for Perry on Tuesday February 12, 2013 at 10:30 AM at Woodland Baptist Church. Pastor Joel Newton will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:00-10:30 AM at the church. Burial will take place in Hillcrest Memory Gardens in Morton. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in East Peoria is handling arrangements.
