Peggy A. Watts, 84, of Washington, passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side at 10:33pm on Sunday, December 20, 2020.
She was born in Petersburg, IL on July 11, 1936 to the late William W. and Helcien F. Oller Stout. She married Frederick V. Watts in East Peoria, IL on April 17, 1955. He survives.
Also surviving are one son, Michael Watts of Morton; one daughter, Julie (Cary) Tate of Lemont, IL; four grandchildren, Sean Watts, Nicole (Rich) Pool, Jamie (Brandon) Keeney, Kelsey Tate; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Marilyn (Bill) Engle of Peoria and Krista (Bill) Hunt of Princeton.
Peggy worked at Caterpillar Inc. for over 20 years before retiring. She enjoyed playing golf, cards, and baking pies. She was a member of the Dahinda United Methodist Church in Dahinda, IL.
Cremation has been accorded. Due to Covid-19 there will be a Celebration of Life Service at a later date. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is assisting the family with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Dahinda United Methodist Church.
