Obituary EAST PEORIA-Pauline E. Thompson, 76, of East Peoria passed away Sunday, September 21, 2014 at 9:16AM at her residence. Pauline was born on October 17, 1937 in Trail, MO to Edward and Nola Freeman Pendergrass. She married J.D. (Jay) Thompson on July 26, 1955 in Hernando, MI. He survives. Also surviving are her children, Darrah Jean Strubhar of Pekin and Jamie D. Thompson Jr. of East Peoria; three grandchildren, Craig (Jenifer) Strubhar, Aimee (Caeser) Shainine, and Ashley Strubhar; two great-grandchildren, Ashlyn and Beckett; five brothers and four sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents, and 12 brothers and sisters. Pauline graduated from Dora Community High School, in Dora, MO, where she excelled in arts. Pauline was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister. She will be missed by all who knew her. The family wishes to express their appreciation to Pauline's special niece, Traci Lee and the outstanding staff of UnityPoint Hospice in Peoria. Memorial contributions may be made to her favorite charity, the Wounded Warrior Program. A funeral service for Pauline will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at 11:00AM at Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home in Mountain Grove, MO. There will be a visitation an hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in Mountain Grove, MO. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in East Peoria is assisting the family locally.
