WASHINGTON- Paul E. Sprenkle, 74, of Washington, IL died at 10:35 am Thursday April 15, 2021 in Washington. Born on October 26, 1946 in Peoria, IL to Ellsworth and Elizabeth Minard Sprenkle, he married Karen Fangmeier on June 14, 1980 in Washington, IL. She preceded him in death in 2015. Surviving are 4 children; Lori (Brad) Class of Grand Junction, CO, Dan (Roxanne) Sutton of Washington, IL, Jason (Rachel) Sprenkle of Washington, IL and Katie (Jeramie) Reatherford of Morrison, IL, 1 brother, Ross (Amy) Sprenkle of Marianna, FL, 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, Stan Sprenkle, and 1 sister Joyce Funk. Paul worked as a Machinist at Caterpillar Tractor Co. for 41 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, was an avid high school sports fan, and liked the Cubs and the Bears. A memorial service for Paul will be at 6 pm Monday, April 19, 2021 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. Chaplain Katie Gallagher will officiate. Visitation will be from 5-6 pm on Monday at the funeral home. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials for Paul may be made to the Lupus Foundation.
