Obituary Peoria Heights - Paul E. Mason, 73, passed away at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at his home with his loving family by his side. Paul was born on June 27, 1938 in Galva, Illinois to the late William H. and Verle Williams Mason. He married Carol Nash, his loving wife of 54 years, on August 31, 1957 in Decatur. She survives him. Also surviving are three sons, Steven Mason, Metamora; Michael E. (Mary) Mason, Peoria Heights; Kevin (Georgia) Mason, Bartonville; 10 grandchildren. Paul was preceded in death by a brother Harold William Mason. Paul was a machinist at Caterpillar Tractor Company for 30 years retiring on April 1, 1996. Paul enjoyed fishing and watching Cardinal games. Funeral Service will take place at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home, 2091 N. Oakland Avenue, Decatur, Illinois. Visitation for Paul will take place on Monday, April 9, 2012 from 5-7 p.m. at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. Additional visitation will be held on Tuesday at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home from 1 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will take place in Graceland Cemetery.
