Paul A. Mack, Jr., 78, of Washington, died at 6:22 PM on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, surrounded by his family.
Born on September 14, 1943 in Taylorville, IL to Paul and Thelma Staples Mack, Sr., he married Linda Sue Lidgard on December 1, 1973 in Washington, IL; she survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Dawn (Jody) Watters of Denver, CO and Tara (Jim) Fuller of Washington, IA and one son, Alek (Morgan) Mack of Creve Coeur; one grandson, Teegan and one granddaughter, Evrlee.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters.
He was a long-time member of Dayspring Native American United Methodist Church in East Peoria. He was employed by Caterpillar, Inc. as an engine tester for 33 years. He was a Freemason at the Taylor Lodge in Washington. He was very active in his church, especially with the church's drumming circle.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm Friday, September 24, 2021 at Dayspring Native American United Methodist Church. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the church. Pastor Danira Parra will officiate. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memory Gardens in rural Morton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the local food bank of your choice.
