Obituary Washington - Paul Wesley Carnell, 75 , of Washington died at 12:15 PM on Friday January 25, 2013 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. He was born on January 16, 1938 in Gobler, MO to John Hobart and Pearl Elizabeth Taylor Carnell. He married Sally Meredith in 1963. He later married Jeanie Tisdel in 1978. He is survived by three daughters; Shari (Scott) Carroll of Pekin, Beth Carnell of Pekin, Magen (Chris) Meers of Peoria, one son; Paul David (Eric Olson) Carnell of Chicago, three grandchildren; Breanne Carroll, Alyssa Carroll, and Mason Meers. He was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister. Paul served his country proudly in the United States Navy from 1955-1959. He later worked 35 years for Caterpillar, Inc. in East Peoria building SS as an electrician and also as an Operations Supervisor. He enjoyed woodworking and spending time boating on the Illinois River. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. There will be a memorial visitation for Paul on Wednesday January 30, 2013 from 3-4 PM at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in East Peoria. Dr. Tim Najpaver will officiate.
