Paul D. Bigger, 70, of Washington, passed away at 12:20am Friday, December 17, 2021 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.

Paul was born July 31, 1951 in Peoria to Frank and Ruby Berkshire Bigger, who preceded him in death.

Surviving are his children, Beau Bigger, Natalie Bigger, and Samantha Carrigan; his grandson, Julian; and his brothers, Glen and John.

Paul was a longtime Cat employee, last working at Mossville before his retirement. He was an amazing dad and an example for his kids and so many others. He was extraordinarily generous with his time and resources and loved cooking for his family. He enjoyed the changing seasons from the seat of one of his Harleys or Corvettes and had a passion for life. Whether he was checking out antiques, bringing a new dog home, working a crossword puzzle, or just joking around with his family, Paul did everything with his whole heart and he will be deeply missed.

A gathering to celebrate and honor Paul's life will be held at a later date. Cremation rites have been accorded by Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington.

In lieu of flowers and in honor of Paul's generosity, memorial contributions may be made to OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home, the Wounded Warrior Project, or to your favorite animal shelter.
