Obituary East Peoria - Otto Torre, 87, of East Peoria died at 6:45 AM Saturday October 12, 2013 at his residence. He was born November 6, 1925 in Peoria to Otto C. and Ella Deever Torre. On December 22, 1957 he married Marilou Gebauer in Eddyville, IL. She survives. Also surviving are his four sons; Christopher (Vickie) Torre of Carpenteria, CA, William (Karen) Torre of Chula Vista, CA, Phillip Torre of Lebanon, IL, Thomas (Christine) Torre of Cumming, GA, twelve grandchildren; Rachele Byerley, Danielle (Christofer) McLaughlin, Matthew Torre, Kathryn Torre, Kristen Torre, Gabrielle Torre, Joshua Torre, Benjamin Torre, Michael Torre, Stephen Torre, Daniel Torre, Annie Torre, and two great-grandchildren; Ella and Jaden Byerley. He was preceded in death by his parents. Otto served his country proudly in the United States Army Air Corp, where he was a B-24 Bomber pilot in the South Pacific during WWII. He later earned his Bachelor's degree from Bradley University in 1951 in engineering. Otto worked as an electrical contractor in the Peoria area and owned Mid-State Electric. There will be a funeral service for Otto on Tuesday October 15, 2013 at 10 AM at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in East Peoria. Reverend Michael W. Fender will officiate. Visitation will be on Monday October 14, 2013 from 5-7 PM at the funeral home. Entombment will take place in Parkview Mausoleum in Peoria.
