WASHINGTON- Odessa M. Calder, 90, of Washington, IL died November 2, 2007 in Wichita, KS.
Born on January 19, 1917 in Washington, IL, to Frank W. and Ethel Minch Muller, she married James M. Calder on June 15, 1940 in Washington, IL. He died on July 27, 1995.
Surviving are 1 daughter, Joan C. (Richard) Leu of Wichita, KS, 1 son, James (Linda) Calder of Washington, IL, 4 grandchildren, Alexis (Craig) Leu Kamman, Brian (Cassie) Leu, Katie Calder and Melissa Calder, and 5 great-grandchildren, Connor Leu,
Anna Bella Leu, Calder Kamman, Adison Odessa Kamman and Justis Looka. She is also survived by 1 niece, Mary Elise Haupt.
She survived her brothers and sister, Thurman, Floyd, Donald, Homer, Paul and Mary.
Odessa was a 1939 graduate of Methodist Hospital School of Nursing. She was a member of Crossroads United Methodist Church in Washington for over 75 years, and a member of the Order of Eastern Star for more than 50 years.
ervices will be at 11 am Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at Deiters Funeral Home in Washington. The Rev. Bob DeBolt will officiate. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to services from 10-11 am. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery in Washington.
