Norma "Jeanne" Shuford, 92, of East Peoria, passed away at 1:47pm Friday, February 10, 2023 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

She was born August 8, 1930 in Peoria to the late Daniel and Elsie Atwater Van Winkle. She married Louis "Don" Shuford on October 7, 1950 in East Peoria; he preceded her in death in 2020.

Surviving are her children, Jennifer (Walter) Bridgewater and Louis "Don" (Cindy) Shuford, Jr.; grandchildren, Lisa, Danielle, and Ryan (Kim) Bridgewater and Bethany Shuford; nine great-grandchildren, and her many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

Jeanne held a variety of jobs over the years, last working for Methodist Medical Center. She was a lifetime member of the East Peoria Women's Club and a longtime member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She loved to read and enjoyed arranging silk flowers. For over 60 years, she was a faithful member of RoLand Manor Baptist Church.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30am Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Private burial will be at Fondulac Cemetery.
