Obituary

Norma Jane Fisher, 87, of Washington, passed away Saturday, February 1, 2025 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

She was born in Bloomington, IL on January 11, 1938 to the late John and Della (Angelo) Graack.  She married Clyde Melvin Fisher on April 6, 1958 in Minonk, IL.  He preceded her in death on April 27, 2012.  She was also preceded in death by her sister, Jean Walker.

Surviving are two children, Kevin (Valerie) Fisher, Michele (Steve) Howard; four grandchildren, Ryan Chioni, Megan (Robert) Coon, Ashley Fisher and J.P. Fisher.

Norma was a charter member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Washington where she formerly played the organ.  She also played at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Peoria and several other churches in the Peoria area.

She was an avid hand quilter that made hundreds of quilts in her lifetime.  She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.  She will be dearly missed.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7pm Thursday, February 6th at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington.  Her funeral service will be held at 10am on Friday, February 7th at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Washington.  Burial will be at Hillcrest Memory Gardens in Morton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to her church, or Washington Fire Department.
