Obituary Morton - Norma Jean Branan, 80 of Morton, died at Proctor Hospital in Peoria on Sunday October 7, 2012 at 6:03 PM. She was born on February 25, 1932 in Peoria to Scott and Letha Sylvester Harmon. She married William Wyatt in Creve Coeur in 1953. She later married Tom Branan in Peoria on September 30, 1997. He preceded her in death on May 6, 2012. Also preceding her in death are one daughter, Brenda Wyatt, two other infant children, and one brother, Kenneth. Norma is survived by one daughter Connie (Bruce) Helms and one son Robert Wyatt both of Washington, four grandchildren; Emily (Josh) Dosier, Harmon (Kasey) Helms, Chase Helms and Ryan Helms, four great-grandchildren; Mariah and Maci Dosier, Hannah Helms and Izabella Paronto, and one brother James (Barb) Harmon of Peoria. She was a 1953 graduate of Proctor Nursing School. She worked as a Registered Nurse in Three Rivers, MI and 25 years at Proctor Hospital as an emergency room nurse, retiring in 1990. She was a member of Proctor Hospital Alumni Association. Norma attended Living Rock Assembly in Peoria Heights, IL. Her children and grandchildren were her life and she loved the time they were able to spend together. Family and friends are invited to gather at an open house at Norma's home in Morton all day Saturday October 13 th and to celebrate her life at 5 PM with a memorial service. Cremation rites have been accorded. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is handling arrangements.
