Norbert G. Wacker, 64, of Eureka, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

He was born March 11, 1962 in Nuremberg, Germany to John and Ilse (Goerke) Wacker. They survive.  He married Brenda Kettwich on May 1, 1982 in Eureka.  She survives.

Also surviving are three daughters, Renee Wacker, Krystle (Shane) Myers, Melanie (Joshua Banke) Wacker; seven grandchildren, Alex, Dominic, Connor, Maverick, Hayden, Garritt, Tatum; and his brother, Bryon Wacker.

Norbert worked as a diesel mechanic at Roanoke Concrete for 20 years.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing golf on Sundays with his buddy Craig at Kaufman Park Golf Course in Eureka for over 20 years.  He loved spending time with friends and family.  He will be dearly missed.

Per his wishes, cremation has been accorded.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is assisting the family with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to any wildlife organization of your choice in memory of Norbert.
