Nora Lee Spicer, 88, of Washburn, IL, passed away at 8:45 AM Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at Lakeside Rehab and Healthcare in East Peoria.
Nora Lee was born November 7, 1932 in Washburn to Thead and Ruth Hook Herington. She married Jack Spicer. He preceded her in death on July 3, 1978.
Surviving are two sons, Barry (Sharon) Spicer and John (Melissa) Spicer; six grandchildren, Amanda Spicer, Michelle (Stan) Gambill, Jackie Spicer, Tiffany (Joe) Ballard, Abbey (Cody) Burns, and Ian Spicer; daughter-in-law, Sally Spicer; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Mitchell; two brothers; and one sister.
Nora Lee managed the grocery store in Washburn for over 30 years before retiring. She liked to dance, play the piano, and loved spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed.
A Graveside Service will be held at 2:30 pm Friday, April 16, 2021 at Linn Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Washburn. Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington is assisting the family with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
