Obituary VISTA, CA.- Nola Martha Austin Foster of Vista, CA., formerly of East Peoria, passed away on Friday, March 27, 2015 at Breeze Hill Care in Vista, CA. Nola was born on June 4, 1918 in Wayne City, IL to Leo and Mary Ann Ray Garrison. Nola married Frank Austin on May 6, 1935 in Peoria. Together they lived in Washington, Peoria, Florida, and Pekin. He preceded her in death on February 1, 1993. On April 17, 1997, Nola married Ernest "Ernie" Foster. He survives. Surviving is her daughter, Donna Walters of Vista, CA; two granddaughters, Deidre Hallick of Thailand, Kristin Frank of New York City; three great-grandchildren, Morgan Hallick, Wyatt Towner, and Oliver Towner; one sister, Hazel Thomason of Indiana; stepsons, James (Wynona) Foster of Metamora and David (Debbie) Foster of Peoria Heights; as well as several nieces and nephews. Nola was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; two sons, Denzil Austin, who passed in an automobile accident in 1975 and Darell Austin who passed in 2010; and siblings Beulah Rost, Muriel Wilkinson, and Clyde Garrison. When Nola married Ernie in 1997, they moved to Florida. Some years later, they moved to Pekin, and then most recently lived at Riverview Senior Center in East Peoria, where Ernie still resides. Nola was a licensed cosmetologist, as well as a homemaker. Above all else, was a loving mother who nurtured each of her children and grandchildren. She always had her family's well-being in mind. She will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank the entire staff of Breeze Hill Care and Vitas Hospice for the exceptional care that was shown to Nola and her family. A funeral service for Nola will be held Saturday, April 4, 2015 at 11:00AM at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in East Peoria. Pastor Jim Gorby will officiate.
