Obituary

Nicholas M. Terry, 33, of O'Fallon, IL, formerly of Peoria, IL, passed away on Monday, July 24, 2023 in a tragic car accident in St. Louis, MO.

He is survived by his wife, Kimberly, their daughter, Emily, and their unborn child due in February; his parents, Karen and Mike Davis of Cazenovia, IL; his brother, Mitchell (Beth) Terry of Washington, IL and his step-brother, Garrett(Amanda) Davis of Rhome, Texas; his step-sister, Delaney Davis of Washington, IL; his sister-in-law, Michelle Crouch and her children, Ava and Mason of Elmwood, IL; and his beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Raymond and Mary Montgomery.

Nick was born March 12, 1990, in Peoria, IL. He was a natural born leader, with a competitive spirit, and strong desire to learn and excel. These attributes served him well in both his education and his career. Nick was a 1st Lieutenant in the United States Air Force. All who knew and worked with Nick spoke of his dedication, enthusiasm, and tireless work ethic. In 2022, he received the award, Lieutenant of the Year for the 375th Air Mobility Wing. Nick loved serving his country. His family was extremely proud of his accomplishments and dedicated service in the Air Force.

Nick was passionate about life and every aspect of it. Above all, Nick knew how to love and take care of his family. He was kind, thoughtful, and generous. Nick had the ability to brighten up a room with his charming personality and sharp sense of humor. If you were with Nick, you were smiling and laughing. He was a loving husband, an amazing daddy, a wonderful son, a caring brother, and a loyal friend. His deep love and warm spirit will be missed by so many who knew and loved him.

A memorial service for Nick will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington, IL.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kimberly Terry for their children's education funds. Nick wanted them to pursue their dreams and find their passions, just as he did.
