Obituary Nicholas A. "Nick" Rogers, 11, of Washington, IL, died at 12:51 pm Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at OSF St. Francis Hospital in Peoria, IL, surrounded by his family after an acute asthma attack. He was born on August 23, 1998 in Peoria, IL to Kay A. and Christine Keller Rogers. Nicholas was loved by all, especially his parents, Christine and Marty Johnson and Kay and Pam Rogers, all of Washington. He is also survived by 4 brothers, Aaron Adams, Andrew Rogers, Matthew Johnson, Austin Johnson and 2 sisters, Brittney Adams and Chloe Rogers, also all of Washington, and his grandparents, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Marden Johnson, his cousin, Dallas Atherton, and his uncle, Jeff McKinney. Nick attended Washington Middle School where he recently played "the Camera Man" in the school play "Oklahoma." He was an active participant in many sports such as soccer, football, lacrosse, basketball, baseball, and wrestling. He enjoyed swimming, doing acrobatics on the trampoline, and was known as a daredevil on his bike. Nick also participated in Cub Scouts, and was a delivery boy for the Washington Courier. He loved life and lived it to the fullest from the time he awoke to the time he fell asleep. His life will continue in the lives of at least 4 other people through his gift of organ donation. A celebration of Nick's life will be at 11 am Monday, June 28, 2010 at Crossroads United Methodist Church in Washington. Pastor Bob DeBolt will officiate. Visitation will be from 2-5 pm Sunday, June 27, 2010 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington, where the family suggests wearing your favorite sports team attire in honor of Nick's love of sports. Additional visitation will be from 10-11 am Monday at the church. Burial will be at Glendale Cemetery in Washington. Visitation JUN 28. 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM Crossroads United Methodist Church 1420 N.
