Obituary Neal F. Ragan Sr., 89, of Washington, IL died at 2:09 pm Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL. Born on January 10, 1921 in Medon, TN to Jacob William and Lizzie Ann Jackson Ragan, he married Dorothy G. Aubuchon on September 1, 1943 in St. Charles, MO. Surviving is his wife of 67 years, Dorothy, 1 son Neal F. (Donna) Ragan, Jr. of Washington, IL, 1 daughter, Sharon Elaine (Rod) Simpson of Hopedale, IL, 2 sisters, Billie Duke of Florissant, MO and Janie Bunn of Kirkwood, MO 5 grandchildren; Debbie (Rob) Catton, Rick Ragan, Mike (Lisa) Ragan, Randy (Tammy) Martin Jr., and Shaina (Chris) Carrell, and 7 great-grandchildren; Kory, Kody, Kacy, Joshua, Matthew, Jonathon, and Faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister, and 5 brothers. Neal was a US Air Force veteran, serving during World War II. He started Todd Uniform in Washington, which later moved to Peoria. Neal was the dedicated owner and operator of Ragan Auto Supply in Washington from 1963-2000. Neal's family wishes to thank the nurses and staff of OSF St. Francis Medical Center and Washington Christian Village for their wonderful care and support during this difficult time. Services for Neal will be at 10 am Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. Father Joseph P. Donton will officiate. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Monday, November 8, 2010 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery in Washington.
